South-African born billionaire and Twitter owner Elon Musk is ditching the iconic blue bird logo to rebrand it with the name X.
Musk made the announcement in several tweets on Sunday implicating that the logo should be changing as soon as Monday.
The reason for the change is to move into banking, commerce and payments.
Musk bought Twitter in October 2022 for a staggering $44 billion.
Founded in 2006, Twitter takes its name from a play on the sound of birds chattering.
AFP reports that Musk had already named Twitter's parent company the X corporation.
