All five people aboard a submersible missing near the wreck of the Titanic are dead after the vessel imploded.
AFP reports the sombre announcement ended a multinational search and rescue operation that captivated the world since the men went missing on Sunday.
On Thursday an underwater robot discovered debris in the water showing proof of what they called a catastrophic implosion.
The victims were the CEO and founder of OceanGate Expeditions, Stockton Rushm, British billionaire explorer Hamish Harding, French diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet and Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son Suleman.
