Mariah Carey is doing her bit to encourage others to get vaccinated by sharing a video of herself having her first dose of the COIVID-19 vaccine.
The 52-year-old superstar shared a video on Instagram over the weekend of herself getting the jab saying, "I'm excited and nervous a little bit about getting this shot," seconds before a health care worker did the deed.
Carey hit one of her famous high notes as she was injected, captioning the post, "Vaccine side effect: G6." Despite having a bit of fun during the session, her message throughout was one of sincerley encouraging others to get vaccinated.

Meanwhile, South Africans will have to exercise patience, continue to ‘mask up”, stay socially distant and keep washing those hands, it looks like it is going to be a long while before the vaccine roll out reaches phase two.
But the message is clear from those in the seat of power, “Vaccines offer to the peoples of the world a means to control the coronavirus pandemic. A person who is vaccinated has a much-reduced chance of becoming ill and dying from COVID-19." President Cyril Ramaphosa.
