One month after speaking out about the interview special, CBS presents Oprah with Meghan and Harry, Piers Morgan has given his first interview.
It was one of the most-watched exits from a live television show – Piers Morgan storming off the set of Good Morning Britain on 9 March after a discussion about the two-hour-long feature that saw Winfrey sitting down with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex for an intimate and revealing conversation. On that fateful day, Piers and GMB weather presenter, Alex Beresford, were discussing the bombshell interview during which Morgan got more than a little hot under the collar and stormed off the set forcing his co-host Susannah Reid to go to an ad break.
Nearly a month has passed since then with Morgan unrepentantly sticking to his guns and affirming at every opportunity that he does not believe a word of what Meghan said in the interview.
Yesterday morning, 5 April, saw him give his first interview since quitting his job at Good Morning Britain.
He joined Fox Nation's Tucker Carlson Today to once again state that Markle's claims were "impossible to believe."
"Here we are a month later, and frankly—I've had plenty of time to think about this—I still don't believe any of what they were saying," he insisted. "Seventeen different claims by the pair of them have now been proven to be either completely untrue or massively exaggerated or unprovable. I don't understand why I should have to believe people who are not telling the truth."
