The family of the late Michael Jackson have released their own documentary about the pop star in an attempt to refute the explosive claims made in director Dan Reid's Leaving Neverland.
Called Neverland Firsthand: Investigating the Michael Jackson documentary, it is available on YouTube. At just 30 minutes in length, it aims to do some damage control in light of the global anti-MJ sentiment ignited by the HBO documentary Leaving Neverland. In the documentary, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who both befriended Michael as children, give a detailed and often harrowing description of the sexual abuse they claim to have suffered at the hands of the superstar.
Prior to his untimely death in 2009, Michael repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and was acquitted in 2005 in a different child sex abuse case, where Wade had actually testified on his behalf.
