According toTshisaLIVE, Babes Wodumo's manager and sister Nondumiso Simelane has told the authorities that car problems and a late-night performance were the reasons for the star’s no show at the Durban magistrate's court on Friday, which has now resulted in a warrant for her arrest having been issued.
Bongekile Simelane, her real name, was set to appear alongside Nondumiso and artist Thobeka "Tipcee" Ndaba, after an unknown woman laid common assault charges against them at the Umbilo police station in March of this year.
According to various media reports, the complainant alleges that she was at a gathering at a guesthouse in the Umbilo area when she was assaulted by four women, three of whom are known to her, after she got into an argument with one of them. Babes is alleged to have been in the group of women.
