‘Higher Power’ premiered with a special link up to the International Space Station, getting its first-ever play via an “extraterrestrial transmission” to French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet.
News of the new single was first teased last week on Social Media with the band revealing that it was written together with 'a true wonder of the universe,’ Max Martin.
Coldplay has since shared the song’s music video online. The video sees them perform in front of a stack of shipping containers while holograms of alien-like beings dance around them.
