Chadwick Boseman can be seen posthumously on screen in his last acting role alongside Oscar winner Viola Davis in the movie Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
For a taste of what you can expect, Netflix has dropped the trailer for the film which is set in 1920s Chicago and explores the issue of race and the exploitation of black artists in the music industry.
The story follows the “Mother of the Blues" Ma Rainey, played by Davis, who is fighting with her white manager and producer for control of her music. Boseman stars as the ambitious trumpeter Levee, who, determined to make a name for himself in the industry, is offered a deal with a white music industry figure.

Boseman’s untimely death at the age of 43 on Friday, August 28 shocked the entertainment industry and his legions of fans across the world.
According to his publicist Nicki Fioravante, Boseman had been privately battling colon cancer for four years, he passed away at his Los Angeles home surrounded by his wife and family.
