Trauma counselor by day, singing sensation by night - meet Warrant Officer Thapelo Molomo, a psychologist at the South African Police Service Employee Health and Wellness Centre in Brits, North West Province.
The 29-year-old has taken Idols Season 18 by storm with his vocal talent and exciting stage performances, making it through to the Top 7. The police officer, who hails from the streets of Dipetsaneng Village, close to Mokopane in Limpopo Province, is proving to be a hit with the Idols SA judges.
Thapelo, who joined the SAPS in 2021, told Idols SA that he is a perfectionist and has spent the last couple of years honing his music skills. Describing himself as ‘humble and dedicated’, he hopes that these qualities will put him in good stead to take home the Idols Season 18 title.
