Twitter has confirmed that it has begun testing an edit button that will allow tweets to be edited a few times in a 30-minute time frame immediately after they are published.
Users will be able to click to see a tweet's edit history, which will show past versions.
The company has stated that it is their "most requested feature”. In a statement released to the press, the social media giant said: “We’re hoping that with the availability of Edit Tweet, tweeting will feel more approachable and less stressful. You should be able to participate in the conversation in a way that makes sense to you.”
