The SAMA's were all kinds of excitement, awkwardness, controversy, such as the SABC boss, Hlaudi Motsoeneng who tried to reach out to the Indian community by stating that "one day is one day we?ll produce artists and professional artists from the Indian community. This is what we?re all about when we talk about South Africa.? This was in response to the complaints received from Lotus FM listeners who tuned in specifically to listen to Indian music.
