The only child of rock and roll legend Elvis is reported to have suffered a cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California, on Thursday morning.
The 54-year-old was rushed to hospital but attempts to save her life were sadly unsuccessful.
Her mother, Priscilla Presley, broke the news by saying: "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.
"She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known."
Lisa Maria was seen two days ago at the Golden Globes in Beverly Hills at which Austin Butler won best actor in a drama film for playing her father in the biopic Elvis.
The tributes have begun to pour in with one of the first coming from the Golden Globes, the organization said: "We are incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Lisa Marie Presley. She was an extremely talented Singer/Songwriter and a very welcome presence at the Golden Globes this past Tuesday. May you rest in peace".

Elvis, widely regarded as the greatest rock and roll artist in history, died on 16 August 1977, aged just 42 - Lisa Marie was nine years old at the time.
Lisa Marie leaves behind three children: Riley Keough and twins, Finley and Harper Lockwood. Her son, Benjamin Keough, committed suicide in 2020.
