The 78-year-old musician passed away Tuesday after suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis.
The British star had recently finished touring his latest album 18, which he recorded with Johnny Depp.
According to People Magazine, Depp is “totally devastated” by the passing of his close friend and music collaborator and is reported to have been at Beck’s bedside when he passed on .
Tributes have been pouring in for Beck who was often called the “greatest guitarist of all time”.
Ronnie Wood, who played with Beck in the Jeff Beck Group, said that he felt one of his "band of brothers has left this world."

The Jeff Beck Official Instagram page said: “On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family asks for privacy while they process this tremendous loss”.
