The song on its own is of overcoming adversity and achieving greatness. Sounds a little like "Firework" doesn't it. But add footage from previous Olympic games along with its commentary and what you have is instant Olympic fever. There's nothing better than watching athletes achieve what the average human being believes to be unattainable. Sport is one of life's greatest metaphors and the music video for 'Rise' defintely translates this.
