Harris vs Swift

Break ups are hurtful and dramatic, but none are as dramatic and exploitative as a break up between two public figures.

According to  Forbes Magazine, Taylor Swift was named the highest-earning celebrity of 2016. With money and status comes power and at times an unexpected anchor to keep you grounded. Calvin Harris had this to say, "Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though," in response to an article from People magazine that reported that Taylor Swift had penned the lyrics to his hit song, 'This is what you came for'.

According to the article, Taylor had written the lyrics while the two were still together and wanted to keep her creative contribution to the song a secret. So she credited the lyrics with a pen name, 'Nil Sjoberg'. In a series of Tweets, Calvin celebrated Taylor's writing ability but ends with a statement that says he wouldn't work with her in the future.

With Katey being pulled into the mix of course based on the rumoured rivalry between herself and Swift, she responded with a gif instead of words.

And if you thought it all ended there.... The dramatics cross-pollinated from Twitter to Instagram. Harris fans war their sigils on their sleeves and posted images of snakes below Swift's Instagram posts. Her fans responded with images of hearts.
