Jon Voight has praised controversial U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his positive influence on the world. The billionaire White House hopeful has found himself in hot water once again after audio emerged on Friday (07Oct16), in which he is recorded describing his failed attempt to seduce a married woman. The recording, taped in 2005, also showcases Trump stating he likes to "grab them (women) by the p**sy", and his lewd comments have prompted an outcry from countless people, including sexual assault survivors and politicians who have demanded he step down from the presidential campaign race.Actor Robert De Niro revealed in a video message for Anonymous Content, which was also released on Friday, he is so insulted by "blatantly stupid" Trump he would "like to punch him in the face", but Voight believes Donald is in the right and that his Hollywood peer made a transgression."I am so ashamed of my fellow actor Bobby De Niro's rant against Donald Trump," Voight wrote on his Twitter account on Saturday (08Oct16).
"What foul words he used against a presidential nominee, (sic) who has worked harder then any other man I know in the past year and a half to get a good message to the American people. I don't know of too many men who haven't expressed some sort of similar sexual terms toward women, especially in their younger years. Donald Trump's words were not as damaging as Robert De Niro's ugly rant. Trump's words did not hurt anyone. Can you imagine. if any Republican said words like Robert De Niro used - against Hilary Clinton or Barack Obama? All hell would break loose."Jon continued, "I am calling for all Trump supporters to express their outrage and anger against De Niro and all of the Republican turncoats against Trump. Let Donald Trump know we are completely behind him, and may God give him the strength to continue his calling."
