Amber Tamblyn details sex assault in light of Trump's vulgar remarks

Actress Amber Tamblyn has gone public with her own experience of sexual assault in response to crude comments made by U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump. The real estate mogul and reality star-turned-politician is currently under fire after audio footage of a lewd conversation he shared with U.S. TV presenter Billy Bush in 2005 surfaced online on Friday (07Oct16).In the off-air chat, Trump appears to be unaware his microphone is still on as he discusses a failed attempt to seduce a married woman, and then claims his celebrity enables him to get away with kissing women he's attracted to."I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait," he can be heard saying. "And when you're a star, they let you do it.

You can do anything.""Grab them by the p**sy, you can do anything," he shockingly adds. The Republican nominee has since apologised for his remarks, insisting it was just silly "locker-room banter", but his latest controversy has prompted Tamblyn to open up about an abusive incident she suffered at the hands of an ex-boyfriend, to underline just how damaging Trump's vulgar comments are.Taking to Facebook on Sunday morning (09Oct16), the actress shared a photo of Trump planting a kiss on a beauty queen and began, "I need to tell you a story. With the love and support of my husband, I've decided to share it publicly."The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star then began to describe the night of her sex assault, which took place at a Hollywood concert after breaking off her longterm relationship with the abusive ex, who she describes as "a big guy"."

The minute he saw me, he picked me up with one hand by my hair and with his other hand, he grabbed me under my skirt by my vagina- my p**sy?- and lifted me up off the floor, literally, and carried me, like something he owned, like a piece of trash, out of the club," she recalled."His fingers were practically inside of me, his other hand wrapped tightly around my hair. I screamed and kicked and cried. He carried me this way, suspended by his hands, all the way across the room, pushing past people until he got to the front door.

My friends ran after him, trying to stop him. We got to the front door and I thank God his brothers were also there and intervened."Amber claims the rest of the night "is a blur", and she has no idea how she managed to get away, but she had painful bruising on her vagina for days after the attack."That part of my body, which the current Presidential Nominee of the United States Donald Trump recently described as something he'd like to grab a woman by, was bruised from my ex-boyfriend's violence for at least the next week," she continued.

"I had a hard time wearing jeans. I couldn't sleep without a pillow between my legs to create space."The 33-year-old, who is married to actor David Cross, admitted the incident had left her emotionally scarred for life, and she was too ashamed to ever tell her parents. She concluded, "To this day I remember that moment. I remember the shame. I am afraid my mom will read this post. I'm even more afraid that my father could ever know this story. That it would break his heart. I couldn't take that. But you understand, don't you? I needed to tell a story."She signed off by adding, "Enjoy the debates tonight", referring to the second scheduled TV debate between Trump and his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton on Sunday, when the Republican is expected to be taken to task by moderators Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz over the scandalous comments.
