Actor James Michael Tyler, most famous for playing the role of coffee shop manager Gunther in Friends, has died at the age of 59.
According to a statement from his manager, Tyler died peacefully at his home in Los Angeles on Sunday morning. Diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2018, the cancer later spread to his bones.
Gunther was a firm favorite on the hit TV series Friends, running the Central Perk coffee house the six main characters spent most of their time at.
Jennifer Aniston paid tribute to the actor saying on Instagram: "Friends would not have been the same without you, thank you for the laughter you brought to the show and to all of our lives. You will be so missed #JamesMichaelTaylor
Her post included a clip of the two together in a scene from Friends.
