Ed Sheeran has shared the news that he has tested positive for COVID-19, but says he will continue to perform and carry out interviews from home.
The British singer announced the diagnosis via a post on Instagram, saying: "Hey guys. Quick note to tell you that I've sadly tested positive for Covid, so I'm now self-isolating and following government guidelines."
“It means that I'm now unable to plough ahead with any in-person commitments for now, so I'll be doing as many of my planned interviews/performances I can from my house".
"Apologies to anyone I've let down. Be safe everyone."

Sheeran did not say whether or not he had been vaccinated and is currently self-isolating ahead of a scheduled appearance on Saturday Night Live. However, back in July, he made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden where together they changed the lyrics of his hit song Shape of You with phrases about getting the jab.
Sheeran is due to release his fourth studio album Equals this Friday, it includes the UK number one singles Shivers and Bad Habits.
