Killed after Alec Baldwin shot a prop gun on set, the cinematographer has been hailed as a “brilliant “ talent whose untimely death has rocked the industry.
The 42-year-old was a Ukrainian-born American cinematographer credited with work on more than 30 films, short films, and TV miniseries, including the films Archemeny, Darlin’, and Blindifre.
According to the BBC police in the US state said Mr. Baldwin discharged the weapon during filming for the 19th Century western Rust.
Hutchins was taken to hospital but died of her injuries. Detectives are investigating the incident at Bonanza Creek Ranch, a popular filming location.
Hutchins leaves behind husband Matthew and their son Andros, tributes have been pouring in on social media following the tragic incident.
Joe Manganiello said: "I’m in shock. I was so lucky to have had Halyna Hutchins as my DP on Archenemy. An incredible talent & great person. I can’t believe this could happen in this day and age… gunfire from a prop gun could kill a crew member? What a horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to her family".

The director of Rust, Joel Souza, was also injured in the incident and taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.
