The bitter 'she said /he said' battle between actress Enhle Mlotshwa and her estranged husband, DJ Black Coffee, is now being played out on social media.
Following on Nkosinathi “Black Coffee” Maphumulo’s, recent public statement vehemently denying all the allegations of abuse brought against him by Mlotshwa, Mlotshwa has hit back with a public statement of her own.
The statement gives details of the five years of alleged abuse she says she suffered at the hands of Maphumulo.
Mlotshwa opens her statement on Instagram by saying,” The truth will prevail. I’ve never heard an abuser admit to being one.”
What follows is a lengthy statement that expresses her wish to " recount the numerous incidents on which he has beaten, berated, rendered me broken and unworthy.”
She goes onto to say that she has endured “gaslighting, emotional, verbal abuse, physical abuse and financial abuse at his behest. The extent of the turmoil I experienced in the marriage as a result of the abuse and the extramarital affairs was so severe that I was admitted into a facility and was treated for depression." She then gives examples of what she says was 5 years “filled with agony.”
She also states that she is standing firm on her assertions: “I would never exploit domestic violence and waste the court's time for my own benefit.”
