Congratulations are in order for 28-year-old local pop star Daniel Baron who got engaged to Juanita de Ponte this weekend in what appeared to be a romantic beachside proposal.
Daniel was quick to share his exciting news on social media, calling Juanita his “Queen forever”. Next time you listen to Daniel’s song Speed of Light, listen with new ears, the song is apparently an ode to his ‘muse’.
On the work front, Baron was recently interviewed on Algoa FM’s breakfast show, the DMB, regarding a legal battle he is having with David Guetta for allegedly plagiarising his hit single Children of the Sun on his 2017 track with Sia, Light Headed.
An official legal letter was sent last December asking Guetta for compensation and credit for 'Children Of The Sun', but there has as yet been no response from the Guetta camp.
But, let’s stay focused on the good news. Congrats Daniel Baron to you and your fiancé!
