80-year-old Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris has taken to social media to set the record straight. The 80-year-old American martial artist, actor and film producer, was forced to proclaim via Twitter that he was nowhere near the riots that took place in Washington DC last week after a photo of a lookalike was posted online.
The picture was uploaded to Twitter and showed a Donald Trump supporter next to a man with an uncanny likeness to the action star. It was captioned with, "Chuck Norris" and shared with the comment: "Wait, so are we not going to mention the fact that Chuck Norris was at the MAGA insurrection?"
After it was retweeted hundreds of thousands of times, Norris's manager decided to issue a statement informing media agencies that he was thousands of miles away on his ranch in Texas when the violence broke out.
Norris himself then took to Twitter saying,” I recently learned there was a Chuck Norris lookalike at the DC Capitol riots. It wasn’t me and I wasn’t there. There is no room for violence of any kind in our society. I am and always will be for Law and Order. Your friend, Chuck Norris.”
