Brooklyn Beckham, model and amateur photographer, made the news public of his engagement to American actress Nicola Peltz over the weekend. The loved up couple have been an item since January of this year.
Twenty-one-year-old Beckham is probably more famous for being the eldest son of retired soccer star David Beckham and ex-Spice Girl and fashion designer Victoria Beckham while Peltz is a rising star in the entertainment industry. The daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz and model Claudia Heffner, her breakthrough role came when she played Katara in the 2010 film The Last Airbender. From 2013 to 2015, she co-starred as Bradley Martin in the drama series Bates Motel.
According to Beckham's Instagram post, he popped the question two weeks ago, but they're just letting the world know now.
He wrote, "Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes. I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day."
She replied: "I'm so lucky to call you mine."
Peltz, who at 25 is four years older than Beckham, wrote on her Instagram: "You've made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. Your love is the most precious gift. I love you so so much baby and thank you, Harper, for this pic."
Friends and family quickly congratulated the couple, with Brooklyn's parents posting the same photo and saying it is the "MOST exciting news" and they could not be happier they are getting married.
