M-Net launches a new show this week and it's the Bachelorette South Africa.
The show announcement was made yesterday on M-Net channel 101.
The announcement of who the first Bachelorette South Africa is will only happen on Wednesday evening.
Many fans of the The Bachelor will be excited to know that The Bachelorette will be chosen from season 1 or season 2 of The Bachelor.
We're excited to share that two of the contenders for the role are from the Eastern Cape.
Mulesa Lumina and Pasha Dos Santos both originated from the Eastern Cape.
Mulesa currently lives in East London and Pasha spent her time in East London during her youth before returning to her home city, Cape Town.
We've sourced the bios of six of the ladies we believe may be front runners in the search for the first Bachelorette, South Africa.
From Season 2:
Name: Mulesa Lumina
Age: 27
From: Baysville, East London
Elegant, soft-spoken and accomplished mediator Mulesa was born in the United Kingdom to Zambian parents and spent her childhood in Zambia, Australia, Swaziland and South Africa. She obtained an LLB degree from the University of Cape Town and a Master’s degree specialising in Human Rights Law from the University of Pretoria. She is passionate about female empowerment and believes actions speak louder than words. She consulted for the Women’s Rights Unit of the Centre for Human Rights in Zambia and joined the International Youth Alliance for Family Planning, for which she does volunteer work.
But there is also a fun side to this remarkable lady. She loves playing video games and is a self-confessed night owl, who makes the most of every hour of the day.

Name: Pasha Dos Santos
Age: 27
From: Milnerton, Cape Town (Born in Cape Town, bred in East London)
They say dynamite comes in small packages, and the pint-sized explosive device is called Pasha dos Santos. Ravishing looks, abundant curly tresses and a feisty personality add up to a show- stopping presence. Pasha is fiercely independent and has a healthy sense of self-worth. She is not scared to speak her mind especially when someone puts an obstacle in her way!
Pasha is a hard-working classically trained professional dancer, burlesque performer, choreographer and Pilates instructor. She started dancing when she was four years old. After completing high school in East London, she moved to Pretoria to further her studies. When that was done and dusted, she packed all her belongings in her car and set off for Cape Town to find a job.
She is besotted with her feline companions, Zaya and Quinn.

Age: 28
From: Southern Suburbs, Cape Town
Hardworking Jessica Ross is an angel-faced fashion designer from Cape Town who has her own body-wear brand, Active Spirit.
In 2014, she was one of four AFI Joburg Fashion Week winners. She is also a qualified hip hop dancer and enjoys kayaking, hiking and training at the gym. Jessica is family oriented and loves spending time with kids. Her ideal partner must share this quality. He must not lack ambition, and her must be loyal, honest and health conscious. She thrives when there is order and direction in her life and would not want her man to create unnecessary drama.
She enjoys the simple things in life and her idea of an ideal romantic date is a picnic with a breath-taking sunset as backdrop.

From: Johannesburg
Gina who works behind the scenes to make women look beautiful is described as down-to-earth. As a make-up artist she draws inspiration and strength from all of the women she meets daily. As a hopeless romantic, her favourite customer is a bride, because this offers her the opportunity to share in the joy of their big day.

Age: 29
From: Durban
Michelle Reddy is the epitome of grace and elegance. Michelle is always up for a challenge as proven with her history of competing in beauty pageants, which may have influenced her natural confidence and her role in a local Hindi film. Her hobbies include horse riding, cooking and reading. Her ideal man is a gentleman with family-orientated values.

Age: 27
From: Pretoria
Jozaan is an adventurous, independent and fun-loving soul with a high-powered job and a wicked sense of humour. She is ready to settle down and start a family. After all, as she admits with a smile, she has been a bridesmaid six times!
Her idea of a perfect day includes socialising with her friends and family.
