Hollywood superstar John Travolta has taken to Instagram to share the tragic news of his 57-year-old wife Kelly Preston's tragic passing from breast cancer at the age of 57.
He wrote: "It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer.
"She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many."
The actress had chosen to keep her diagnosis private.
According to various publications, she passed away on Sunday morning, she had been receiving treatment for some time.
The couple were married for 28 years and have two children, a 20-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old son. Their first child Jett died in 2009, aged 16, after suffering a seizure on holiday in The Bahamas. He was diagnosed as an infant with Kawasaki disease and had a history of seizures.
Preston's most prominent film roles include Marilyn McCauley in the romantic comedy Mischief, Avery Bishop in Jerry Maguire with Tom Cruise, Jane Aubrey in For the Love of the Game with Kevin Costner, and Kate Newell in Holy Man with Eddie Murphy.
She also starred in movies several times with her husband, most recently in the 2018 mob movie Gotti, it is currently streaming on Netflix.
