Tributes are pouring in for award-winning actor Lindiwe Ndlovu who died at her home on Monday. The cause of death is not yet known although she was said to be suffering from high blood pressure - she had just turned 45.
Gaenor Artiste Management took to Facebook to announce the news saying,” It is with heavy hearts and unimaginable sadness that we bring you the news of Lindiwe Thembekani Ndlovu’s passing in her home this morning 11th January”.
"Her bright, large burning light has gone out and we are devastated to bring you this sad news. To us Lindiwe was family but to many, she was so much more. An unsung incredible actress who will leave a huge space in the creative world of acting. Her incredible passion, deep respect for her craft and unrivalled commitment to her career evident in every project she took on”.
They closed their post with a sentiment expressed by many on social media, “Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends of which she had many. Lindiwe was part of the fabric of Gaenor Artiste Management and things will not be the same without her. Gaenor BeckerLynne Karen HigginsKelly Wolmarans Nicole Pettitt. Ndlovu will always be remembered for starring in films and TV shows such as Little one, Safari, Winnie Mandela, Lockdown, Isidingo, Zabalaza, and Egoli. It was announced at the end of last year that she would be joining the cast of the popular local telenovela, Isono.
She had a career filled with industry accolades, one of those was receiving her SAFTA Award for best actress in a feature film presented to her by American A list star, Samuel L Jackson. There's no doubt she will be sorely missed in the acting fraternity.
Mzansi Magic expressed their shock and sadness via Twitter, sending 'sincere condolences" to her family.
