Acclaimed South African actor Cobus Visser dies at 70

Actress and singer Liz Meiring has confirmed via social media that much-loved actor Cobus Visser has died at the age of 70.

Visser was known and celebrated for his role in the original Fiela se Kind movie back in the eighties, and in more recent years for Hond se Dinges, Mollie & Wors and Binnelnaders.

Liz Meiring was a longtime friend and colleague of the actor. Her post on Facebook paid loving tribute to their time together in the performance industry.

According to various reports he died of heart failure. May you rest in peace Cobus Visser.
