Celebrity singer Tamara Dey is demanding that her baby’s father double the amount of maintenance he pays every month for the daughter he shares with her. But, the father of her child, Mninginisi Nkhavi Mhinga, who happens to be the son of Yvonne Chaka Chaka, is having none of it, instead accusing Tamara of wanting the money for herself rather than their 20-month-old daughter.
According to Sunday World, Dey took him to the Randburg Magistrates Court to demand that he increase the maintenance amount from R10 000 to R20 000 a month saying that the amount currently being paid is inadequate.
Mhinga, who is currently working in a sports shop in Paris, France, has filed a responding affidavit stating that the R10 000 he pays is sufficient to cover the child’s expenses. He also says in the article that in addition to the R10 000 he pays the toddler's medical aid as well.
