President Jacob Zuma has told a regional summit in Chad that South African troops will pull out of the Central African Republic,
Chadian President Idriss Deby said that Zuma was ready to provide troops in the future if necessary.
Zuma had faced prickly questions over the presence of his troops, 13 of whom were killed in the bloody battle for the capital, Bangui on Saturday the 23rd of March.
African leaders say they will not recognise Central African Republic's new self-proclaimed leader.
