President Jacob Zuma has congratulated South African-born actress Charlize Theron for scooping the World Economic Forum's crystal award for her humanitarian work.
The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project finances programs designed to prevent the spread of HIV among young Africans, particularly in South Africa.
Zuma said he met Theron on the sidelines of the Davos conference in Switzerland yesterday where she briefed him on her work.
Theron was presented with the award on Tuesday night.
