Agri SA says it welcomes Cosatu's announcement of an end to the farm workers strike in the Western Cape.
Agri SA president Johan Moller says while they acknowledge that voices of farm workers should be heard, they cannot condone their advisors and representatives' actions, which led vulnerable people into an unprotected and violent strike."
Cosatu said on Tuesday that the strike had been called off, but said it would co-ordinate "the mother of all strikes against bad farmers" later in the year.
Farm workers went on strike last year, demanding that the minimum daily wage be increased from R69 - R150 and that a cohesive land reform programme be implemented.
