Would-be copper thieves shot by farmer

Two would-be copper cable thieves have drowned near Marble Hall in Limpopo after they were shot by a farmer.
Police said the 40-year-old farmer shot at the men after he caught them digging up cables in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police spokesperson, Mohale Ramatseba, says the men, aged 32 and 35, fled into the farm dam and drowned.
When their bodies were recovered it was discovered that they had bullet wounds to the head and upper body.
Ramatseba says police confiscated the farmers fire-arm but he was not arrested.
