The Civil Aviation Authority has begun the probe into an aircraft crash in Springs on Wednesday night in which a woman was killed and a man seriously injured.
The CAA says the Cessna 172 was on a training flight when it crashed around 7 pm.
ER24 said when paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the wreckage of the plane on the side of a field.
Two people were found lying inside the light aircraft.
Medics assessed the patients and found that a woman had sustained numerous fatal injuries. Nothing could be done for her, and she was declared dead by another service.
The Civil Aviation Authority will issue a preliminary report within 30 days.
