A Gauteng man accused of shooting and killing his 21-year-old girlfriend and her 43-year-old mother in Vosloorus near Katlehong on Tuesday night has committed suicide.
Police say the identity of the 27-year-old suspect was confirmed by his relatives after his body was found hanging at a warehouse site near Dawn Park on Wednesday.
It is believed that the suspect arrived at his girlfriend's house in the Nguni area and without saying a word, drew a firearm and fired several shots at both her and her 43-year-old mother on Tuesday evening.
He also shot and wounded his girlfriend’s sister who was later rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, police say the firearm which was used in the murders was also recovered near his body at the warehouse site.
