The veteran South African actor Clive Scott has died.
The 84-year-old actor was one of South Africa's first television stars when he played to role of Ted Dixon in the soapie The Villagers in 1976.
He reprised the role nearly two decades later in the soapie Isidingo.
Scott's last on-screen performance was in the 2016 film titled Kalushi: The Story of Solomon Mahlangu.
His daughter confirmed his death in a short post on Facebook.
The cause of death remains unknown.
