Two alleged vehicle smugglers are expected to appear in court on Wednesday following their arrest inside the Kruger National park on Christmas Day.
A spokesperson for police Brigadier Selvy Mohlala says the men aged 25 and 43 entered the park in stolen vehicles via the Numbi gate and pretended to be holidaymakers.
He says the suspects were each driving in a Toyota Hilux that was reported stolen in Delmas and Daveyton respectively.
Mohlala says Tracker picked up one of the signals which led police to a picnic area where one of the suspects was arrested.
Police say the suspect immediately told them about his friend who was also in a stolen vehicle in the park.
Both vehicles were already fitted with false number plates.
Police suspect that the men were hoping to exit the park via the Malelane or Komatipoort gates without being detected.
