As the South African government prepares for the spike in Covid-19 infections, two cabinet ministers have tested positive for the virus this week.
The latest is Mineral Resources and Energy Minister, Gwede Matashe.
The 65-year-old and his wife, Nolwandle tested positive on Tuesday and are currently in isolation at their home.
Government Communication and Information System said the Minister would continue his duties while in isolation.
On Monday, GCIS also confirmed that Social Development Deputy Minister Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu had tested positive for Coronavirus.
Her department said she was in good spirits and she would also be carrying out her duties while self-isolating at home.
