Three Malawian nationals will appear in court in Laingsburg on Monday after they were found with stolen motorbikes and bike parts.
Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie, says the arrests were made by members of the Rural Flying Squad on Thursday.
He says they stopped and searched a truck travelling from Cape Town to Malawi and found the stolen goods on board.
Pojie says 11 different motorcycles, as well as bike parts, were found wrapped in plastic.
He says a further investigation revealed at least eight of the bikes were reported stolen in different parts of Cape Town between April 2021 and as recent as this month.
The bikes were stolen in Rondebosch, Wynberg, Landsdown, Claremont, Muizenberg and the cities of Bellville and Cape Town.
The men are aged 22, 37 and 38.
