Free State police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murders of three people whose bodies were found in a house in Bloemfontein on Thursday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Lorraine Earle, said the deceased were Christo and Janine Theron, aged 36 and 35, while the third person was identified as 65-year-old Betsie Kruger.
She said their bodies were found inside a house in Van Heerden Street in Weilgehof in Bloemfontein.
“The preliminary investigation on the scene indicated that they were tied up and strangled. It is unknown how many perpetrators were involved,” she said.
Earle said the attackers to took an undisclosed amount of cash, a laptop computer, and personal items.
They remain at large and police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist the investigation, to contact Bloemfontein police.
