Three babies were kidnapped across the country in just one week.
According to SAPS the babies who are between 6- weeks and eight-months-old were snatched in Brits in North West, Magaliesburg in Gauteng and from a clinic in Bloemfontein in the Free State.
Police have since found two of the babies who were reunited with their mothers.
Two arrests have also been made.
A 53-year-old woman who allegedly kidnapped a baby from her teenage mother in North West is expected to appear before the Brits Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The 6-week-old baby was allegedly kidnapped from her 19-year-old mother, Suzan Kutumela on Monday.
Kutumela allegedly left the baby with an unknown woman, who was carrying another infant, so that she could go and buy food at a local Shoprite Centre in Brits.
However, the suspect disappeared with both babies.
She was apprehended on Tuesday after the father received an anonymous call regarding the whereabouts of the child.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old woman will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on Thursday after she allegedly kidnapped a baby from her teenage mother at a clinic in Bloemspruit.
A spokesperson for police Brigadier Motantsi Makhele says officers in Mangaung worked around the clock and traced the baby to a house in the Bloemspruit area, where the suspect was arrested.
It is alleged that the woman was pregnant and had recently lost her baby.
Makhele says she was too scared to tell her boyfriend and considered adoption.
He says when she arrived at the clinic for a check-up on Thursday, she saw the 18-year-old mother and befriended her.
She offered to look after the baby while the mother saw her doctor and decided to abduct the child.
The third baby was kidnapped in the Magaliesburg CBD on Monday.
Police have launched a manhunt for two women.
The eight-month-old baby is still missing.
