Three men who allegedly stole diesel worth over a million Rand from Transnet pipelines in two provinces are expected to appear in the Vosman Magistrates' Court in Mpumalanga on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Captain Dineo Lucy Sekgotodi says the men aged between 28-43 were arrested during a multidisciplinary intelligence-driven operation involving Transnet and Provincial detectives.
She says police received info about suspects who were in possession of diesel, allegedly stolen from Transnet pipelines in Mpumalanga and the Free State.
The team pounced on an address in Witbank where they found two trucks full of diesel as well as a generator all worth about R1.4 million.
Captain Sekgotodi says they also found an empty fuel tanker on the premises as well as a number of containers filled with diesel.
