AmaZulu King Misuzulu KaZwelithini has thanked those who've supported him following his official ascension to the throne.
He was crowned at a ceremony on Saturday after performing the traditional entering of the kraal at the Royal Palace in Nongoma in KZN.
Inside the kraal, the monarch was introduced to the ancestors and prayed for.
Afterwards, he addressed his nation of more than 11 million Zulu people and described the momentous day as the start of a new chapter...
Before the start of the ceremony, two of late King Goodwill Zwelithini's daughters filed a last minute urgent court application to halt the proceedings.
However, the Pietermaritzburg High Court struck the matter off the roll and deemed it not urgent.
Royal family elder, Prince Philemon - the grandson of King Dinuzulu - thanked the nation for staying loyal to King Misuzulu, despite the feud over succession.
