Five men are expected to appear in the Touws River Magistrates court on Monday for being in possession of unpolished diamonds.
Spokesperson Mihlali Majikela says the men were arrested last week on the N1 national road.
She says police received information about a white Volvo Truck that was traveling on the N1 with diamonds and proceeded to stop it at a petrol station.
Upon searching the vehicle police discovered one diamond hidden under the carpet, however after a thorough search they found ten more on the diesel tank.
Majikela says tests confirmed that the diamonds were real, although its monetary value is yet to be determined,
The suspects aged between 31 and 48 are expected to make their first appearance on Monday.
