Two suspects have appeared briefly in the Senekal Magistrate's court in connection with the brutal murder of 21-year-old Free State farm foreman Brendin Horner.
Horner's badly beaten body was discovered tied to a pole in the Paul Roux district of the province early on Friday of last week.
The 32-year-old Sekwetje Mahlamba and Sekola Matlaletsa, no age given, appeared briefly in court on Tuesday morning.
A large crowd of local farmers and community members gathered outside the court building ahead of their appearance but due to Covid-19 health protocols, only a handful of people were allowed to attend the actual court proceedings.
The matter was postponed to the 16th of October for an identity parade to be held.
The men will remain in custody.
