Suspect arrested for allegedly planning to hunt rhino

 Four men have been arrested for allegedly planning to hunt rhino in the Waterpoort area of Limpopo, near Makhado.

Police say they acted on a tip-off and arrested the men during a joint operation by members of crime intelligence, organised crime and the tactical response unit.

A hunting rifle, an axe as well as the vehicle used by the suspects was confiscated.

The men, aged 29 to 41 will appear in court in Waterpoort on Wednesday.
