Police have arrested three suspects for the murder of a doctor in his Soweto surgery on Friday.
Spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo, said the men, aged 23, 28, and 33, were arrested just hours after the 56-year-old doctor was shot in his Diepkloof surgery.
He said police are searching for other suspects saying more than four armed men entered the surgery in the afternoon and proceeded to the consultation room where they shot the doctor.
His name was not released yet.
Masondo said the arrested suspects might also be linked to a business robbery at the same surgery on 16 March where cell phones and cash were taken from patients and employees.
The arrested suspects are due to appear in court soon.
