Six killed in Limpopo accident

Six people have been killed, and nine others injured, when a bakkie overturned on the N1 highway outside Polokwane in Limpopo.

Netcare 911's Jeffrey Wicks says the accident happened late on Saturday when the bakkie, carrying churchgoers, veered from the road and flipped onto its side, before rolling several times.

He says six people, some of them teenagers, died at the scene.

Wicks says the injured were treated at the scene, before being taken to a nearby hospital.
