Service delivery protest in Port Elizabeth

 Residents of Kwazakhele in Port Elizabeth blocked Struanway this morning with rocks and burning tyres.

Warrant Officer Dumile Gwavu said police have brought the situation under control and that no-one was arrested.

Residents say they're unhappy with poor housing delivery.

They claim Metro Officials visited them before last year's general elections to listen to their grievances but have not been heard from since.

Gwavu says a counsillor visited the area and held discussions with the residents a short while ago.
