The SA Human Rights Commission says an alleged racist attack on an employee at the World of Golf in Johannesburg is being investigated.
Spokesman Isaac Mangena said although the Commission had not yet received an instruction or complaint from the victim, Nathan Maluleke, it had received a complaint from two members of the public.
According to theme park owner Darryl Edges, a visitor racially abused Gary Player Golf Experience employee Maluleke on Saturday evening.
A fight ensued and Maluke was assaulted.
Photographs of his severely swollen face have been widely circulated in the media.
Mangena said the SAHRC had asked the World of Golf to share its investigation report, to assist the probe.
It would also speak to Maluleke once he was released from hospital.
